NEW YORK ? Rapper Jim Jones has pleaded guilty to making a mistake on the road: driving his Bentley in New York with a suspended license.
He pleaded guilty Thursday to a traffic misdemeanor and was sentenced to a $200 fine.
Defense lawyer Marianne Bertuna says Jones hadn't realized his license had been suspended over a traffic ticket he hadn't fully paid. She says he wanted to resolve the case to get on with his career and a charity project. He was arrested in March in Manhattan.
Jones' "We Fly High" was one of 2007's top-selling rap tracks.
He's said he's doing his best to stay out of the Manhattan criminal courthouse. He pleaded guilty there in 2009 to a misdemeanor assault charge for punching one of R&B star Ne-Yo's friends.
