Selecting a Multi-level Marketing Business Opportunity | W3 PR

1. The Owner(s) of the Company/Direct Sponsors

-For me to even consider joining a company, the owner(s) or the management team must have had experience on the distributor?s side of the industry, and have had some substantial success. I demand this because I want the owner(s) to know what the representatives want and need to have the best fighting chance in the industry! My next requirement is that they have proven leadership; I want to know that I am going into a partnership in which the owner(s) care about the rep?s success. I don?t want to go into business with someone who just sits back and says ?have fun.? Leaders will attract other Leaders! They should have traditional big business experience as well. My last big requirement is that they have the money to back the company up. I want to know that my investment of time and effort is secure, especially with businesses that have not been around that long and are still trying to make it past the 5 year crunch!

2. The Product(s)

-This is huge! Yes, you can be a top earner in a business opportunity where the product is not that good, but I promise you will not have fun. When I am looking at the product, I want to right away be ?shocked & excited? about it. Or else, how can I expect anyone else to? The product needs to have the ability to maintain a reoccurring customer which helps provide the basis for a residual income (The whole reason why we need a MLM business in the first place). The product needs to be something that you want to have regardless of if you join the business opportunity or not, so that you will have higher retention rates ? Securing your residual income! For the last thing, the product needs to be something special enough to where there is minimal to no competition.

3. The Pay Plan

If the Company and Product are good, but the pay isn?t, then I will indeed pass! Everything must come together. The best way to describe the ?best? pay plan is that it is fair and balanced. Meaning, that if I sponsor someone who is 100 levels down, and they put in more time & effort than I do, then they should be paid more than I do! I look for compensation plans that have a multitude of ways to get paid including a good amount just by selling the product. I look for Fast start bonuses, matching bonuses, and a large percentage of team bonuses! Basically, I want to get paid a good amount to help others get paid MORE

As you can see, you want to align yourself with an business that will give you the best fighting chance, especially if you are new to the industry. If you have been in the industry for a while, then you should have already figured out that the company does not equal success. In fact, most reps make the mistake of pitching just how great their business opportunity is. The company is merely a vehicle and no matter what you decide to ride, your product is always people!

Brian Cain wrote this overview to help new distributors choose their company wisely. Unfortunately, this industry suffers from large amount of people who know literally nothing about marketing. If You would like to find out more about some of my own strategies, you can visit my own personal blog.
