Tom Dixon is a premium UK brand creating contemporary lighting, furniture and accessories. The company is well known in the industry and has a reputation for innovative design and use of materials. Design Research Studio is the interior design arm of the company and has carried out many high profile projects including Shoreditch House private member?s club, Jamie Oliver?s Barbecoa, Adam Perry Lang?s new restaurant to name but a few.?The brand Tom Dixon is in a period of fast growth.

Tom Dixon is looking for both senior and midweight interior designers to work on a high profile international project on six month rolling contracts. Candidates will need to be able to start as soon as possible.

Experience in the hospitality and hotel sectors is preferable although not essential.

The responsibilities include (but are not limited):

• concept development
• design detailing
• project implementation
• visualisation ? computer renders/hand sketches
• client liaison
• creating key drawing packages, and detailed drawings
• tender specification and drawings, managing into full tender package
• managing contractor(s) when on site
• liaising with qualified architect(s) when required
• taking responsibility for post completion issues

Technical skills:

• Auto Cad/ Vectorworks (please state which)
• Photoshop
• InDesign
• 3D studio max

Reporting relationships

• all interior designers will report into the project manager

The candidates

• will have a minimum of three-five years? experience working on high profile projects

Required interpersonal skills; the individuals should have the following characteristics:

• ability to represent the company
• able to work independently or as part of a team
• dynamic people person
• eye for detail and results driven
